Tasmania Battery Rebates and Incentives
Tasmania’s Energy Saver Loan Scheme, which offered zero-interest loans of up to $10,000 towards home batteries and other energy-saving upgrades, closed on 1 September 2025 after all available funding was allocated. No new applications are being accepted and no reopening date has been announced.
What’s still available?
Tasmanian households and small businesses can still access the Federal Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program, a nationwide rebate on the cost of a new battery system. The rebate is tiered by battery size, with the best value for systems up to 14kWh, and the exact amount depends on the battery you choose and the STC price at the time of installation.
