New year means new solar rebate …save over $3,500 if you install in 2017
We’re sure that you’re aware that the Solar Rebate Scheme has started its phase out schedule from January 1st this year.
The scheme was initiated by the Australian government in 2011 to offer a financial incentive for home owners wanting install solar panels, to meet the Renewable Energy target.
Under the current legislation, the solar rebate has begun its gradual phase out, reducing at a rate of 1/15th every year until 2030.
The graph below illustrates how much you could potentially receive, based on a 5kW system installed in a zone 3 area. This includes an STC price of $29/kW in different periods over 15 years, beginning from 2016 at an optimal level of $4,826*.
Although you have missed the best timing to take full advantage of the rebate, the scheme still offers a huge financial benefit when installing a solar power. You could receive up to [maxrebates]* if you install in this year.
Unfortunately, if you decide to wait, the rebate will continue to reduce year on year, as time goes.
Saving our planet is not the only long term benefit of installing solar power. It’s also a great tool for saving money, as well as creating a legacy for your decedents.
Due to its self-regulated nature, there is no guarantee that it will stay the same way for too long.
The solar rebate reduces when there are more people installing solar and it rises when less people are installing.
Due to the advancement of battery technologies, public interest in solar has spiked, which could place more pressure on the market to drastically reduce the price of the rebate.
Important: Don’t wait any longer to cash in on the current solar rebate.
*Price will vary year on year in correlation with the current public demand.
